Team Roles

All our team members are here to answer any questions you or your child may have. They are also fully vetted. Responsibilities for each team role can be found below.

We currently do not have an assistant leader

Our Playgroup Assistants include Natasha McMullan & Michelle Corcoran as well as several Emergency Support Workers and Placement Students. All our permanent assistants are also NVQ Qualified and trained fully in Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid

The Management Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting, which is held each September.  The key committee roles are Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary.  Becoming part of the committee can be a rewarding experience, not only does it give you the opportunity to contribute directly to the playgroup but also to the whole community.  Any project involving local people in the planning and implementation are more likely to be successful and playgroup is no different.  Amongst other things, the committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, for employment of staff, and planning for the future.  Monthly meetings are held in the evening during term-time.  Unfortunately the playgroup would have to close should there be insufficient volunteers to form an effective committee, so if you are interested in joining please speak to a member of staff who will point you in the right direction.
